To be able to use OPEN vhb, you have to agree to the current version of the Terms of Use of the Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern (vhb), in particular the Supplementary Terms of Use for the OPEN vhb learning platform. Please note:

  1. We expressly point out that content from various social media providers (including Google/YouTube, Facebook) is embedded in the online courses offered via the OPEN vhb platform. If you are logged in to the platform and call up a page with embedded content from a social media provider, a direct connection will automatically be established between your browser and the servers of the respective social media provider without further inquiry. This may result in cookies being set by the service providers and user data being transmitted to the service providers. For a complete list of those social media providers whose content is embedded on the platform or in the online courses, please see our Privacy Policy, especially the "OPEN vhb" and "Social Media" sections.

Use of Google reCAPTCHA when registering via web form (does not apply to registration via Facebook or Google): If you register via web form, the reCAPTCHA service of Google Ireland Limited (Google), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, is used. We use the captcha to prevent fraud by automated programs. The Google reCAPTCHA service uses your IP address, cookies of Google services, an algorithm and puzzles for this purpose. However, Google also uses this data for other purposes of its own in accordance with its privacy policy. If you decide to register via web form, you give your revocable consent at any time that your personal data and information are also processed by Google as part of the registration process.
