Was erwartet Sie in diesem Kurs?

EmpowHer Mind is a free online course designed to support and inspire women on their path to entrepreneurship. Combining insights from psychology, business, and gender studies, the course empowers participants to develop a strong entrepreneurial mindset, overcome common challenges, and transform their ideas into actionable business plans.

Tailored specifically for women, the course addresses structural and personal barriers often faced in the startup process - such as limited access to resources, gender stereotypes, and lack of business knowledge - while emphasizing the unique strengths and leadership styles of female entrepreneurs.

Participants will gain practical knowledge in areas such as vision and mission development, business planning, marketing, financial literacy, leadership, and sustainable business growth. Each module combines theory, real-life success stories, interactive tasks, and opportunities for peer exchange in a supportive online environment.

By the end of the EmpowHer Mind course, participants will be able to:

Prof. Dr. Sandra Niedermeier is a professor for Digitalization in Education and Society at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. She heads the "Digitalization in Education and Society" department for the Institute of Digital Transformation. Her experience in the design, execution, and evaluation of eLearning and blended learning proposals, synchronous and asynchronous learning formats, face-to-face and virtual workshops, training for trainers and lecturers, and presentations forms the backbone of her activities. She received her doctoral degree from the Chair of Empirical Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at LMU Munich, where she also worked for several years as a research assistant. She was also the head of the Profit Centre at the Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) and responsible for digital learning media.

Prof. Dr. Katrin Winkler has been a professor at the HAW Kempten for over 10 years. Her areas of expertise include topics related to corporate strategy such as Human Resource Management, Change Management, Talent Management, and Knowledge Management. Since January 2023, her main focus is on Leadership. She recently published an insightful forward-looking book "Connectedness – Leadership for a Changing World" (Winkler & Bramwell, 2020). Prior to this, she worked as an executive at various companies, where she actively supported the promotion of other women working in these companies. In her book, she combines this extensive practical experience with scientific findings, offering practical recommendations for successful leadership in the era of digital transformation. Her next book due to be released in summer 2024 is about Team Health in Virtual and Hybrid contexts.

Weitere Mitwirkende

Dr. Claudia Müller-Kreiner is a specialist in digital education and currently works at the Institute for Digital Transformation at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten. Drawing on her expertise in teaching and learning, as well as her experience as an instructional designer, she led the development of the course concept and content for EmpowerHer Mind.

She serves as a mentor in the German EXIST Women program, supporting aspiring female entrepreneurs, and also runs her own business as a trainer and enabler in the field of personal and professional growth (www.nounau.de).

The course was developed in collaboration with a dedicated expert team: Esma Gündogan, Lisa Herb, Miriam Liebhart, and Rekha Pinto.

Rekha Pinto began her professional journey in architecture in the late 1990s. After moving to Germany twelve years ago, her career gradually took a new turn. She now works at the Institute for Digital Transformation at the University of Applied Sciences in Kempten, where she uses her creative skills to design and visualize course content for interactive virtual learning modules.

Since 2022, Lisa Herb has been a member of the team at the Institute for Digital Transformation in Work, Education and Society at the University of Applied Sciences Kempten. With a Master's degree in Business Psychology (M.A.), she contributes to the institute's work by providing insights into the design of courses and projects. In her role at the institute, she oversees and supports a variety of projects aimed at promoting digital expertise and transformation.

Esma Gündogan works at the Institute for Digital Transformation (IDT), where she is responsible for various corporate client projects and the development of digital learning formats. As part of the Bavarian Virtual University (vhb), she was involved in the design and implementation of various online courses that combine innovative learning methods with practical content.
Esma Gündogan also works in the Management program at Kempten Business School (KBS) - in particular for the online Master's course in Business Psychology and for various certificate courses at KBS.
